"Honeybees were shipped to the Colonies as early as 1610, a trip of 6 to 8 weeks. This presented problems at sea and ingenious ways were created to transport hives of honeybees to the Americas.

The Native Americans, upon seeing the approach of the honeybees, knew the Europeans were not far behind. The honeybee was referred to by the Indians as The White Man's Fly."

This DVD was filmed during the School of the Longhunter, Pricketts Fort, West Virginia. Lighting is in the style of the 18th century and will wax and wane with the cloud cover.
