18th Century Clothing Through The Eyes of a Weaver (Judy Wilson, 2007)

large product photo

"Judy Wilson has been a weaver for 19 years and spinner for 33 years. She is a member of the Fiber Arts Guild, the Shepards Federation and the Weavers Guild of America."

In this DVD, Judy Wilson shows the process it took during the 18th century to move from growing flax (or spinning wool) through processing, weaving, dyeing, cutting and sewing one's own clothing. The entire outfit that Ms. Wilson wore during the workshop was produced in this manner.

This DVD was filmed during the School of the Longhunter, Pricketts Fort, West Virginia. An excellent film for 18th century reenactors, spinners, weavers  and history enthusiasts! Also appropriate for homeschool studies. (Due to length of film, may be appropriate for homeschooling students 13+ years of age.)
